Tina Chang
Piano Teacher
Tina Chang is an accomplished concert pianist, educator, and artistic director whose career reflects exceptional artistry and a strong commitment to musical excellence. Trained at world-renowned institutions, she holds degrees from the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music (National University of Singapore), the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University, and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, where she also earned an Artist Diploma.
A prizewinner in major international competitions—including the Klavierwettbewerb Wiesbaden International Piano Competition, the HGS International Piano Competition, and the CCM Concerto Competition—Tina has performed across the United States, Europe, and Asia. Her appearances include Carnegie Hall, the Frankfurt Music Hall, the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing, and the Esplanade in Singapore. She has collaborated with orchestras such as the Guiyang Symphony Orchestra and the CCM Philharmonia.
As a dedicated educator, Tina is known for her inspiring, student-centered teaching style that combines strong technical foundation, musical expression, and disciplined practice habits. Her students consistently earn top prizes in regional and international competitions and are frequently accepted into prestigious music programs. Her success on the world stage directly shapes her high-standard, results-driven approach to teaching.
Beyond her work on stage and in the studio, Tina is an active leader in the arts community. She has served as Artistic Director and competition judge for the JinYue International Music Festival in Chengdu and Shenzhen YingXiangLi Cultural Communication Co., Ltd., and she is a member of MTNA and NAfME. Her teaching and artistic leadership continue to inspire young musicians while advancing cross-cultural musical exchange.
